At heart I’ve always been a big brand and ideas-led creative, creating strong integrated concepts that can adapt to any platform from classic TV, poster and press to new channels like social, content and digital. Always learning and utilising new techniques, innovations and media to create massive stand-out at every opportunity. While keeping beautiful craft at the heart of everything.
It’s what has helped me create all of the work on this site and the reason that as a creative director I was able to build consistently strong agency teams. Ones who are ‘t-shaped’ able to adapt and take on any type of challenge on any type of job. All working for each other, helping each other to produce great work.
It gives me enormous pleasure to know that together we were certainly one of the best creative teams outside of London and one of the top agencies in the country. Over 125 creative awards in 10 years, with 12 ‘Creative Agency of the Year’ wins or nominations for BJL go towards proving that. Sitting on the agency board, I was part of a leadership team that helped hit targets year after year with account growth, process improvements and pitch wins for big brands that few rivals could rival. And importantly was able to help it’s people to flourish. It helped us leave the pandemic with more clients.
I’m a very passionate person, it means I’m driven to always be looking for any and every way we can make what we’re doing better. The creative work, the day-to-day or each other. Good is good but it’s not good enough, and it’s certainly not great.
